Cash. Because you're either going to have just enough, or not that much, which can prevent you from buying something that's not a necessity.
Debit would NOT be a good option because it's pulling money straight out of your bank account. So you will most likely always have enough money for anything you want if you have a lot of money in your bank account, and that wouldn't be a good option since you're trying to stick on a budget.
