The answer to this question is: The designer is forced to think outside the box, enhancing creativity
When an artists do not posess the tools that familiar to them, they will automatically find a subtitute/replacement of that tool in order to continue making their arts.
Even though the result may not be as good as if it's made with the artist's familiar tools, it definitely will give a different look/perspective toward the artist's piece
