integers are like -4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5 etc

so we can't have fractions

the fraction parts of the mixed numbers must add to -1 (because they are negative mixed numbers)

when the fraction parts of the mixed numbers add to -1, the sum of 2 mixed numbers is an integer
