Mummification is the art of preserving body in Ancient Egypt. The bodies that usually mummified are those of the pharaohs. They believe that the soul of a dead person will continue in afterlife and therefore they must preserve the body the retain the same form in the afterlife so they can enjoy their activities when they are still alive.
